Jaswant Singh suffers head injury, admitted to Army hospital

Veteran politician Jaswant Singh, who resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) just ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections to contest as an independent, has been hospitalised after suffering a head injury. According to reports, the former BJP leader suffered an injury after he fell at his home in the national capital. The 76-year-old former Defence Minister was found unconscious at his house in Delhi at around 11 pm on Thursday and rushed to the hospital. He has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Army R R hospital. A senior doctor at the hospital said on Friday that Singh has been operated upon for head injury and he is in a critical condition in the ICU. Indian Express
