Jamia Islamia holds its salana ijlas

  June 02, 2016 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: South India's renowned and prestigious Islamic seminary, Jamia Islamia Bhatkal, held its salana ijlas (annual function) at the sprawling mosque of Jamia Islamia today morning. The program started with recital of verses from the Holy Qur'an at 10:30 am. Maulana Shoaib Aikeri welcomed the guests. Master Shafi Patel, Maulana Abdul Aleem Qazia, Maulana Maqbool Kobatte and other teachers at Jamia Islamia imparted essential advice to the students at the occasion. The institution's Principal Maulana Maqbool Kobatte read out the year-long activities of the institution. Thereafter, Maulana Abdul Sami' Armar announced the results of final exams. The program ended at 1 pm with dua (prayers) and parting words by Maulana Abdul Aleem Kasmi.   – ARF
