Jamia Islamia Bhatkal to host series of events to mark its Golden Jubilee

Bhatkal - 04 August 2011: Jamia Islamia Bhatkal is going to organize series of events to mark its 50 years in March 2012. This was announced by Convener of the Organizing Committee, Moulana Ilyas Jakti Nadvi at a press conference held here in Bhatkal. Speaking to the reporters he said, 'The decision to organize this program was taken after consultation with the chief mentor of Jamia, Hazrath Moulana Syed Rabey Hasani Nadvi.' He added that, a series of events including an international seminar on the topic 'World Peace and the role of Islamic Seminaries', a national seminar on 'Importance and Necessity of Islamic Education in Colleges and Universities', a seminar on achievements of Jamia Graduates, an important session with Govt officials and Non-Muslim brothers etc will be held as a part of 5 day program. He also said that the five day program will be concluded with a Public Gathering (Jalsa-e-Aam) in which Imam-e-Haram is expected to participate.
Apart from this, several programs for women have also been planned including Islamic Exhibition and Jalsa-e-Aam wherein women will get chance to listen some of the great Islamic Scholars and Educationist.
A 15 member committee has been constituted to look after the arrangements of the Program.
