Jamia Islamia Bhatkal organizes Multi-Lingual Na'at competition

Bhatkal 14 December 2016: An Multi-Lingual Naat competition was organized by Jamia Islamia Bhatkal last night wherein 23 students participated in the event and Na’ats in over 16 different languages were sung including Urdu, Arabic, English, Kannada, Marathi, Nawaity, Konkani, Punjabi, Japanese, Malayalam, Telugu etc.
Speaking on the occasion Moulana Umais, Lecturer of Darul-Uloom Nadwa said, merely listening to the Na’at brings an sense of Pleasure to the Muslims, irrespective of the languages it is written and sung in. He further said, even if a person doesn’t understand the language a Na’at is written in, he still manages to enjoy the melodies of Na’at.
Moulana Iqbal Mulla, vice President Jamia Islamia, also addressed the students and had a few words of praise for them for the hard work they’ve put in to come out with such an unique kind of event in the institution.
