Jamia Delegation In omanMUSCAT ( Bhatkallys news): The Bhatkal Muslim Jamat, Muscat organised several functions in honour of the visiting Jamia Islamia delegation which comprised of Shabandri Patel Shafi, naazim of Jamia Islamia and Moulana Abdul Bari Fakarde Nadvi, principal of Jamia Islamia. Speaking on the occasion at a function held at the Massarat Hall in Ruwi, Moulana Abdul Bari called upon the people to bring in reforms in their lives to attain paradise in the Hereafter. He said, “See our marriages.. we tend to practice unislamic and improper practices, ladies learn car driving with the help of men without any presence of either father or brother, etc. are of serious concern. We should shun all such practices which are against the Islamic beliefs and ethos.” Shabadri Patel Shafi said the Jamia delegation is visiting the GCC to thank the people for extending unflinching support for Jamia. Presiding over the function, Aftab H. Kola, senior vice-president of BMJ-Muscat, said, “The BMJ Muscat appeals to people to extend full support to Inayatullah Shabandri as he has been nominated by our parent organisation Tanzeem. We may have a individual choice before a collective decision was taken by Tanzeem but now that the entire community have come to a conclusion that Inayatullah would be our choice and it is thus our duty to lend our support to him”. He also added, “Here is our opportunity to show unity. Those who have plans to visit Bhatkal before or after the elections are requested to adjust their dates so that they can be in Bhatkal on the day of elections for voting.” Moulana Talha from Dubai also echoed similar views and said there is always a reward to support collective decisions. Ruknuddin Murthudha, general secretary of BMJ-Muscat, compered the programme while Nisar MJ, secretary of BMJ-Muscat, proposed a vote of thanks. Another public talk was held in Seeb while Moulana Abdul Bari also addressed the Bhatkal ladies at Ruwi and Seeb. bmj 2 bmj 3 P1000423 P1000434 P1000441 P1000445
