Jali Gram Panchayat submits memo demanding immediate arrest of killers

Bhatkal - 13 Sep 2011: Bhatkal's Jali Panchayat members on Monday, 12 September submitted memorandum to Chief Minister of Karnataka, Mr D V Sadananda Gowda through Bhatkal Assistant Commissioner and demanded immediate arrest of killers involved in the brutal murder of their Vice-President, late Abdul Salam Damda.
Before submitting the memorandum, all members including President Jali GP gathered at Panchayat office and paid tributes to late Abdul Salam and expressed their grief over his tragic death. Later they proceeded towards Assistant Commissioner's office and submitted the memorandum.
On this occasion, Jali Gram Panchayat President, Mr Mohan Devadiga, Vice-President, Mr Somashekhar, Secretary, Reshma Sardar, Mr Mohan Naik, Marukeri Gram Panchyath President, Mr M D Naik, Mavalli Gram Panchayat President, Mr Nagratna Padiyar and Jali Gram Panchayat members were present.
Ex-minster, Mr Shivananda Naik also condemned unnatural death of Abdul Salam and directed Bhatkal DySP to conduct fast and fair investigation and solve the case as soon as possible.
Several other organizations of Bhatkal and Gulf Associations have also expressed their sorrow and demanded immediate arrest of culprits.
