Bhatkal: Karanataka CM Jagadish Shettar visited Bhatkal today to campaign in favour of BJP's candidate Govinda Naik. While addressing a gathering at a ground adjacent to TFC hotel he mentioned that BJP is still liked and favoured by the public. He said that in whatever places he went for campaigning he got assurances of cooperation from a large section of people and after seeing all this they can predict that this too time BJP will win the elections.
While mentioning about the development work done by the BJP during their governance he mentioned that during Atal Bihari Vajpayee's reign as PM, widening of National Highway and repair of various roads began. If this work wouldn't have begun, people of this nation would have faced a lot of difficulties.
While mentioning about development activities in state, he mentioned that the BJP government has spent Rs 3000 crore rupees for the development of the state and while granting funds they did not look at which party's MLA is there. They just granted the funds for the progress of the state and as a result the BJP has completed five years in which they have undertaken lot of developmental work.
While criticizing the KJP, he mentioned that the party's commander Yediyurappa has cheated the BJP, and for his own personal gain separated with the party and in order for his craze to become the leader, has sprung a new party. His party will soon cease to be in existence. For this reason, no one should vote in favour of this party.
While also criticizing the Congress party he mentioned that they blame others for corruption but their own ministers are being arrested in massive scams and day by day their scams are coming out.
On this occasion, Uttar Kannada Zilla's MP Anant Kumar Hegde, BJP candidate Govinda Naik and other BJP leaders expressed their thoughts and appealed to people to support the BJP. Program ended with thank-you words from Ishwar Doddimane.
On this occasion, apart from the above mentioned persons BJP Bhatkal Taluka's president Dinesh Naik, Keshav Naik, Ganesh Naik and other workers were presented on the dais.
In view of CM's arrival, there were strict security arrangements put into place in Bhatkal.
