Ismail Nameer wins two gold medals at Bhatkal Open National Karate Championship

Bhatkal: Ismail Nameer, son of Nisar Ahmed Ruknuddin and a student of Huda International School, Mangaluru, won two gold medals at the Bhatkal Open National Karate Championship held recently.

Competing in the Senior Black Belt category, Ismail secured first place in both Kata and Fighting events. He was also declared the Grand Champion of Bhatkal 2025 and received a cash prize of ₹3,000.

Ismail was trained under the guidance of his coaches Nadeem and Amar Shabandri. Organisers and well-wishers said the achievement reflects consistent training and discipline in the sport.
