Islamic Workshop in Muscat on 19 Jan

Muscat - 15 Jan 2012: Inheritance is the transfer of legal ownership of a deceased's assets to his heirs. Islam has the best system for distribution of wealth among heirs but most of us are ignorant and care less of knowing the inheritance law in Islam. Most disputes arise because we don't know or don't follow the Inheritance law in Islam. It must be said that ignorance of any law is no excuse. Therefore, it is fardh (obligatory)upon all Muslims to know the fundamentals of this very important aspect of Islamic faith.

A free workshop which will offer an introduction to the Islamic law of inheritance with the aim of creating the awareness on this important aspect of Islamic jurisprudence will be held on 19th January 2012 at Al Ansari Corporate Building in Gala.

This workshop has been designed based on a very detailed presentation prepared by Dr Assaina Beary on the subject.

The details of the workshop are:

  • Topic: Introduction to the Islamic law of Inheritance.
  • Date: Thursday, January 19, 2012
  • Timing: 9.30am to 1pm,with a tea/coffee break in between.
  • Venue:Al Ansari Corporate Building at Gala

This workshop will be conducted in English by Brother Munir Khan and is open to adult males and will be on first come first serve basis. A maximum of 50 people can be accommodated.
