31 Aug 2013 / Rizwan Gangavaly / Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: "Ahmed was a very nice boy. He seldom went out to play and remained confined to his house. He had very few friends." says Yaqub Siddibapa, uncle of Ahmed Siddibapa (alias Yasin), at his residence, speaking to press reporters. "He left his studies in between and did not complete his grade 10. His father took him to Dubai and put him onto a job. Initially he worked at a sports-shoe store. After some disagreement with his dad, he disappeared from there and did not contact us for a year." he added. Responding to one of the questions, he said, "He did not have any friends named Iqbal and Riyaz when he was here. We are unaware what he did after he left us." Expressing his anger over the media, he said, "When Ahmed's younger brother Samad was arrested, media hastened to label him as "mastermind" and laid many allegations on him. Later when he was acquitted of all charges, media did not bother to publish news of his acquittal. This clearly shows bias of the media." He further said that, like most natives of Bhatkal, Ahmed was a religious person. He prayed regularly and had good knowledge of the religion. He had knowledge of prohibited and permissible actions in our religion. He also knew how big a sin is, in Islam, to kill an innocent person. In Islam, crime of killing an innocent person is equal to killing of all mankind. Responding to one of the questions, he said that there is no person named Yasin in their house. His nephew's name is Ahmed, but still media and police are labelling him as "Yasin Bhatkal". "Footages of the person who has been arrested in the recent operation is indeed his nephew Ahmed," he added. In the end, he has requested the media not to increase their troubles by publishing incorrect information. Yaseen_house_2
