International cricket stadium in Uttara Kannada District soon

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Ismail Zaorez Karwar 19 March 2018: Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has secured a deal with the state cabinet that will allow them to build an International Cricket Stadium on a rented land in Savarpai, Karwar. According to the deal, State Government will rent about 11 acres and 30 guntas of land to the KSCA at the cost of 40,000/- annual rent for 30 years where the KSCA will construct an International-standard Cricket Stadium at the approximate expense of 15 crore rupees. Karwar MLA Sathish Sail, while addressing mediapersons on the issue expressed his happiness and added that the issue was first taken up by the KSCA who after inspecting the land, wrote a letter to the state government discussed with District In-Charge Minister R V Deshpande and Revenue Minister Kagodu Timmappa. He further spoke about how the stadium will be build amidst nature's beauty, holding Kali river's and sea's view from it. The MLA also claimed that the stadium once built will be one of the most beautiful stadiums of the world.
