Indian salesman found dead in Oman

Muscat: A 26-year-old Indian man was found dead in his accommodation in Oman, local media reported.
The victim from the Indian state of Kerala, identified by his friends as Siby, worked as a salesman at an automobile spare parts shop. His body was found in his room in Bahla town of Ad Dakhiliyah governorate on Monday.
“He left the shop around 1pm and went to his room for lunch. He was supposed to return by 3pm. When he didn’t turn up and did not answer his phone, his sponsor went to the accommodation at around 4pm to look for him,” one of his friends was quoted as saying.
“When they opened the door of his room, Siby was found hanging. Police were called immediately and the Indian embassy was informed.”
Police moved the body to the hospital.
The body is at the Bahla hospital and the sponsor is coordinating with the Indian embassy to clear the papers required to repatriate the body, friends of the deceased said.
