Indian Ambassador meets Saudi Minister of Haj; reports their preparedness to welcome Hajis

Jeddah 12 July 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Ahmad Javed, Ambassador of India, met the Minister of Haj and Umrah, H.E. Dr. Mohammad Saleh bin Taher Benten, in Jeddah to discuss the arrangements for Haj 2018. Mr. Md. Noor Rahman Sheikh, Consul General of India and Mr. Mohd. Shahid Alam, DCG/Consul (Haj) were also present in the meeting.
Ambassador conveyed about the preparedness of India to welcome Hajis for the Haj 2018. He conveyed that all the arrangements have been made for the smooth reception and comfortable stay of Indian Hajis for Haj 2018.
Minister of Haj and Umrah was highly appreciative of the efforts of India and extending best possible services to Hajis and cooperating with several agencies of Saudi authorities for the safety and comfort of Indian pilgrims.
Minister also expressed happiness on the successful issuance of visa through e-Haj Portal since last 3 years by India and was highly appreciative of the IT skills of India. Ambassador also briefed the Haj Minister on the proposal of transportation of Hajis through ship and requested the Minister for assistance in making the logistical arrangements for smooth reception at the sea ports in future.
The two sides reiterated their commitment to cooperate and coordinate with each other for a smooth Haj experience to Indian pilgrims in forthcoming Haj.
