Incidents of cattle confiscation on rise in Bhatkal as Eid nears

September 17, 2015 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: Incidents of cattle confiscations are on rise day-by-day as Eid-ul-Adha nears, and at different places cattle are being confiscated and men who transport them have been arrested. Barely a few days ago, a huge truck carrying cattle from Hyderabad to Bhatkal was confiscated at Shirali Check Post by activists of hardline group and handed over to the police which still now remains under police custody. In a fresh incident, the actvisits of the same group seized a truck laden with catttle and handed over to the police at Shirali Check Post which was later sent to Sunday market. The news spread like wildfire and Muslim youth started assembling at the place. Soon, members from other community also started accumulating and shouted slogans. Looking at the sensitivity of the situation, the Circle Inspector dispersed the crowd to avoid any untoward situation. Members of Tanzeem also reached the spot and pacified the youth and made them return back. 17 animals have been confiscated and a case has been registered on two persons, a source informed.
