Bhatkal 27 April 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Indian National Congress President Rahul Gandhi, on Thursday visited Bhatkal as a part of his assembly election campaigning in the state.
Rahul addressed a public rally at Madeena ground, Venkatapur and led a series of attacks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP government for not delivering on their promises and manifestos of 2014 elections.
Rahul started his attack on Modi by asking Modi about party tickets to Reddy brothers and their close aide when he speaks about fighting corruption, he also said “speaking of fighting corruption while BS Yeddiyurappa is standing beside you is not a good idea”.
Rahul then alleged that the PM and his government is only beneficial to a few billionaires and not the common man of this country, he also questioned Modi about Nirav Modi, Lalit Modi and Vijay Mallya’s escape from country with crores of rupees.
Praising the governance led by Siddaramaiah in Karnataka, he added “Siddaramaiah government has allotted seven kilos of rice to each person of the family, has installed Indira canteens in cities, free education for girls and waiver of farmer’s loan has been the highlight of the government and there is no reason why people will vote for BJP when they are led by a corrupt leader like BS Yeddiyurappa”.
CM Siddaramaiah in his address also attacked BJP and said “BJP has no development to show and speak about and that is the reason why they are communalizing this election”, and assured that the Congress government will not let them succeed in playing communal politic is the state.
