IMD predicts torrential rains, thunderstorms in some coastal areas of Karnataka for next 3 days

Bhatkal, Oct 12, 2020 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Torrential rains are expected in the coastal areas of Karnataka for the next two to three days due to declining air pressure in the Bay of Bengal. The Meteorological Department has appealed to the public to be alert. According to reports, the Andamans, especially in the Arabian Sea are showing signs of storms due to the strong pressure. So, there is a strong possibility of torrential rains and thunderstorms for next three days in coastal areas of Uttar Karnataka, Dakshina Karnataka and Udupi in Karnataka. In view of this, the department has issued red alerts in some areas of Karnataka and orange alerts in some districts. In Bhatkal, it has been raining with thunderstorm since last night.
