IMD issues red alert for coastal Karnataka till tomorrow, forecasts heavy rain for several areas

Bhatkal, Jul 4: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) The Department of Meteorology has predicted the occurrence of very heavy rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in the coastal region. As a result, a red alert has been declared from the afternoon of July 4 until 8:30 am on July 5. Post the noon of July 4, strong strong winds have been predicted in Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, and Udupi districts for a few hours.
In addition, widespread rain is expected to continue in the inland districts of Shivamogga, Kodagu, Hassan, and Chikmagalur for the next two days. Consequently, an orange alert has been issued for those districts.
