Illegal liquor worth 50,000 seized on Matsyagandha express in Bhatkal

Bhatkal 16 April 2018 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) : Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel on Sunday late night seized Goan liquor worth Rs 50,000 that was being illegally transported on Matsyagandha Express here at Bhatkal.
Yogendra Singh Mankwana, a railway police personnel who was involved in the task of conducting a special check, particularly over the smuggling of liquor on the train, found six bags containing Goan Alcohol in the ladies compartment, when the train was between Murdeshwar-Bhatkal railway route.
A total of 340 bottles of Goan alcohol were seized which is estimated to be worth Rs.50,000. The railway police later handed over the case to Excise department.
