Three women have been arrested after a Drug Bust in Bhatkal

Bhatkal 20 December 2016: Bhatkal town police yesterday recovered around 10 kg of illegal drugs from Gulme, Bhatkal in a raid carried out with the help of local youngsters, and arrested three women in the over the charges of supplying illegal drugs in the town. The three arrested women have been identified as Fathima, Haseen and Nafeesa. Speaking to the Bhatkallys.com Bhatkal DySP. Shiv Kumar confirmed the recovery of about 10kg of Ganja from the raided house and hinted over the possibilities of few other people and groups might be involved in the said area and there were possibilities of such parallel business being run in the area. He further added that the arrested people were smuggling the drugs to Bhatkal from different cities including Shimoga and Shikaripur. After the raid was carried out, a delegation of Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem called on DySP Kumar and urged him to come hard at the nexus of drugs which is active in the town.
