IAUHS student scores second position in Pole Vault

November 26, 2015 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: In a yet another moment of pride for Anjuman, a student of Islamia Anglo Urdu High School Bhatkal, Mohammed Raiyan Ismail Shaikh stood second position in the state-level Pole Vault competition and has been nominated now for national-level competition. On this achievement, the school's Headmaster, Physical Coach and other members congratulated him and wished him good for his future endeavours. Anjuman students not only perform well in academic fields but also in sports, athletics and other co-curricular activities. Pole vaulting is a track and field event in which a person uses a long, flexible pole as an aid to jump over a bar. It has been a full medal event at the Olympic Games since 1896. - ARF
