IAUHS and ABHS celebrates Annual Day

Bhatkal - Islamia Anglo Urdu High School (IAUHS) and Anjuman Boys High School (ABHS) jointly celebrated their 71st Annual Day here at Anjuman School Ground Bhatkal. On this occasion ABHS student Mr Mohammed Shareef S/o. Mohammed Mushahir was adjudged Waqar-e-Anjuman while IAUHS student Mr Mohammed Yusuf S/o. Mohammed Yaqoob Ruknuddin was awarded with Waqar-e-Islamia. The awards were presented to them by chief guest of the function and Chairman Karnataka Urdu Academy, Moulana Hafiz Mohammed Amjad Hussain Karnataki.

Addressing the gathering Moulana Karnataki applauded the Bhatkali people for their contribution to Urdu and their work to promote Urdu at different levels. Bhatkal BEO Mr Devidas Moger while addressing the audience expressed happiness for being a student of Anjuman. He also advised the students to get good marks in SSLC exams.

The program was presided over by Mr Abdul Azeem S M, In-charge General Secretary AHM. In his presidential address he said 'Anjuman is not only an Educational Institution but it is a Movement. We always concentrate on the education standard of our students.' He also announced several special courses for ladies from this academic year including MSc (Mathematics) and MA (Urdu).

As a part of this Annual Day celebration, Mr Nizamuddin Mamigatti was felicitated in recognition of his 34 years of selfless services to Anjuman. It may be noted that Mr Mammigatti is going to retire from Anjuman next month (February '11).

The program was begun with the Qirat of Abdul Samad Ikkery at 10:30 am. Mr Abdul Azeem S M delivered the inaugural speech and Mr Nazeer Ahmed Halwegar introduced the guests. Later Head Master of IAUHS, Mr Nazeer Ahmed Dafedar and Mr Mohiddin Khattali, Head Master, ABHS presented the annual reports of IAUHS and ABHS respectively. Mr Abdul Rawoof Savanur anchored the program and it was concluded with the thanks giving speech of Mr Noor Ahmed at around 1:00 pm.
