I was not sent back because I was Bhatkali or Muslim: Abdul Haq Muniri clarifies

June 14, 2015 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: Few days ago some local news papers and WhatsApp carried a news of Abdul Haq Muniri being sent back from Hong Kong on grounds of being a native of Bhatkal. Speaking to media persons, Abdul Haq Muniri today clarified the misconception that the reason for sending him back was not that he has Bhatkal roots but it was something else. Elucidating more on it, he said that if the reason for sending him back was having Bhatkal origin then only his family would have been sent back but along with them 14 other families who were neither Muslims nor from Bhatkal origin were sent back. Expressing anger on the Hong Kong government he requested the Indian government to investigate the matter. - ARF
