"I am likely to get ticket tomorrow" says Inayathullah Shabandri to Bhatkallys.com ahead of JDS Mega rally in Bengaluru

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Ismail Zaorez Bhatkal 16 Feb 2018: Ahead of JDS' Mega Rally in Bengaluru on 17 February 2018, Uttara Kannada District JDS President Inayathullah Shabandri on Friday said he is likely to get the ticket for assembly elections 2018 on Saturday at the JDS Mega Rally in Bengaluru. He further stated that candidates for at least 150 seats out of 224 will be announced during the Mega Rally and believed the ticket of Bhatkal constituency is most likely to be announced. The statement comes amidst rumors that Bhatkal BJP leader Sunil Naik might join JDS party if he doesn't get the ticket from the saffron party and in this scenario Inayathullah Shabandri might be overlooked by the JDS high command to give away the ticket to Sunil Naik. On being asked about these rumors doing the rounds on Social Media platforms, he added "Sunil has not yet joined the party and moreover these are just rumors on social media, has anybody heard something in this regard from my party high command?" he questioned. He further said, "Sunil is yet to join JDS (if at all he is joining) and the ticket for Bhatkal constituency will mostly be announced tomorrow for me, so there is no point in believing such rumors as once the list of candidates is announced the party high command doesn't prefer to change it, except in rare cases where the party high command believe the candidate is not fit for the representation of the party in the elections". If Inayathullah secures ticket tomorrow, it will be interesting to see whether he can secure the confidence of local socio-political organization Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem for second successive year to secure local Muslims' votes on the voting day.
