Honnavar: Two died of drowning at Apsar Gonda

Bhatkallys News Service/ Rizwan Gangavali Honnavar 10 July 2017: Two people who had come to Idagunji town of Honnavar Taluka to attend an wedding died after drowning at a local sea shore Apsar Gonda when the four friends went to the sea after the wedding ceremony. The deceased have been identified as Jayanth Joshi (23) and Nivesh (22) of Gangavathi and Bengaluru respectively. The incident took place when the four friends of a group of 16 people who had come here for an wedding ceremony took the route to nearby picnic spot Apsar Gonda to enjoy the sea waves, but things took an ugly turn when two of them fell prey to the high tides of the sea while swimming. The lookout for the bodies was under process till late at night and a case was registered at Manki Police station.
