Honnavar police raids a Gambling spot in the taluk; over Rs.73,000 seized

Honnavar 8 February 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) The Honnavar police on Thursday early morning arrested 12 people for playing Gambling game in a public place near Subharmanya cross of Honnavar and seized cash over Rs.73,000 during the raid. The accused have been identified as Subhramanya(50) of Kumta, Ganapati(25) of Honnavar, Rama(41) of Honnavar, Raghavendra(34) of Honnavar, Ashok(42) of Honnavar, Manjunath(33) of Honnavar, Vasant(29) of Honnavar, Sujith(26) of Siddapur, Maruthi(32) of Honnavar, Rama(32) of Murdeshwar, Umesh(44) of Honnavar and Mohammed Mehaboob(48) of Bhatkal. Working on credential information, the Police personnel in the wee hours of Wednesday raided a gambling spot, in a public place near Subhramanya cross of Honnavar Taluka and detained 12 men from there. The police also seized a pack of 52 cards and whooping sum of Rs. 73,250/- during the raid. A case has been registered at Honnavar police station. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
