Honnavar: Paresh Mesta’s father wants lawyer of his choice in murder case

Honnavar 28 March 2018: Kamalakar Mesta, father of Paresh Mesta submitted a petition in the Uttara Kannada District Court seeking appointment of lawyer of his choice to appear in the case adding that he has no trust in the investigations of the case, while maintaining that justice would be denied for his murdered son by the state government and investigative authorities.

Kamalakar in his petition mentioned "I absolutely have no faith left in the investigation, even after the state government handed over the investigations to the Central Bureau of investigation (CBI)."

He further accused the state government of hampering with the evidences of the case and said "Efforts are been made to destroy the evidences of the case even after suspect in the killings of my son are in the police custody".

"I afraid the accused can get the bail easily due to improper investigations and to avoid it, I submitted the petition in the District Court seeking appointment of lawyer of  my choice to fight the case", he added.
