Honnavar: Man handed to police for allegedly molesting college girl in broad day light

Bhatkallys News Bureau Honnavar 17 Jan 2018: A 26 year old man was on Tuesday caught and handed over to the police by the residents of Bunder road locality of Honnavar allegedly when he was found to be molesting a 16 year old college girl in broad day light. The accused has been identified as Gururam Gowda of Honnavar. According to the witnesses, a 16 years old college student was on her way back to home in the afternoon after finishing her classes when reportedly Gururam started molesting the girl in the broad daylight. The girl then started shouting for help upon which the alert residents and locals caught Gururam red-handed in the act of molesting the girl and handed him over to the local police. The accused has been booked under POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act). Speaking to Bhatkallys.com Honnavar ASI confirmed that the accused was not presented before a magistrate on Tuesday and that he will be presented before the magistrate in the open court on Wednesday.
