Honnavar: Leopard hit by train while crossing railway track, dies

Honnavar 29 March 2019:(Bhatkallys News Bureau) A leopard was hit by a train while crossing a railway track near Navilgoan of Honnavar Taluka here on March 29, Thursday. As a result of the incident that took place on Thursday morning, the eight-year old male leopard died on the spot. Locals who noticed the wild cat lying dead on the railway track, reported it to the local forest officials who reached the spot and buried the animal after completing formalities.
