Honey bees attack an elderly man in Bhatkal, victim dies

3rd May 2013 / Rizwan Gangavaly / Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: Today morning, in Uttar Kopa area falling under Mawli Gram Panchayat limits, an elderly man was attacked by honey bees while he was walking in the forest. As a result, the victim, who has been identified as Subra Gonda (60) died. According to sources, the elderly man and two companions left their house and as soon as they entered the forest honey bees attacked them. His two companions ran away fearing their lives, but this elderly man could not escape and became a victim of honey bee attack. After the incident, he was rushed to a private hospital in Murudeshwar and then brought to Government Hospital Bhatkal but till that time he had died.
