Hindu Jagran Vedike secretary attacked in Mangaluru; organisation calls bandh on Thursday

Mangaluru 25 October 2018: Condemning the assault on Hindu Jagaran Vedhike Taluka Secretary Guruprasad by Chaitra Kundapur’s Supporters, a bandh was called at Subramanya by the local organisations here on Thursday. According to the reports, recently in a program named “Sudharma Sabha” Young Hindu Chavinist Chaita Kundapur had criticized the ‘sarpa Samskara’ being held in Subramanya temple regarding which clash was reported between Hindu Jagarana Vedhike Taluk secretary Guruprasad and Chitra Kundapur. However, on Wednesday Chitra along with her supporters clashed with Guruprasad at Kashikatte, during which the supporters of Chitra Kundapur allegedly assaulted Guruprasad with a rod. He was later rushed to a private hospital of Sulia. The police personnel of Subramanya rushed to the spot and took seven people including Chitra Kundapur into their Custody.
