Hindu extremist erects Hanuman idol at Muslim shrine, threatens to vandalise grave

MEERUT: Tension prevailed in Meerut after men from Hindu Swabhimaan Sansthan painted the shrine of a Muslim saint in SAFFRON with idol of Hanuman.
The incident happened at Surajkund in Civil Lines Police Station limits.
It is reported in Hindi publication PalPal news that Amit Bharadwaj, National President of Hindu Swabhimaan Sansthan puts the saffron color on the grave (mazar) with a statue of Hanuman. A case has been filed in the Civil Lines Police Station.
The reports further that Amit has even warned the police that if colour of the Peer’s (saint) mazaar again painted green, they will take further action and break it.
As the matter is communally sensitive between two communities, no official is coming forward to speak.
Speaking on the issue, the national president of Hindu Swabhimaan Sanstha said that it’s a tit for tat for attacking the members of the Army in Kashmir.
