Hijab row: HC adjourns hearing till Tuesday, declines to impose restrictions on media coverage

Bengaluru: Karnataka HC on Monday adjourned the hearing of the Hijab issue in the state till Tuesday, February 15. The hearing will begin at 2:30 pm on Tuesday. During the hearing, the HC also refused to impose restrictions on media while covering the issue. The court was replying to one of the applications by an advocate who sought restriction on media and social media comments on the issue as elections are going on in other states. We have made appeals to the media. We can put off the live streaming if you all say. That is in our hands. We can't stop the media. As far as elections, you are not a voter of those states.
