High tide causes seawater to enter into fields in Jaali

July 20, 2014 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: Seawater entered fields passing through houses in Jaali after high tide caused by heavy rains breached the boundaries along the coastline thereby exposing risk of damage to crops. As per inputs, the sea water was breaching towards houses located along the coastline due to high tide. Sensing the danger, the locals immediately contacted the panchayat officials who came to their rescue and diverted the water to another place. The locals complained to the officials that there is no boundary near American Jaali as it has been built in other places. They have thus appealed to the concerned officials to take immediate measures in this regard. - ARF
