Heavy rains coupled with thunderstorms and lightning lashed various parts of the country on Friday morning. Residents and motorists have been warned to be attentive and cautious as weather conditions may cause a drop in visibility and roads may become slippery.
The city of Abu Dhabi and some of its remote areas witnessed a sudden but pleasant weather change on Thursday with intermittent drizzling and skies covered with clouds that also caused the temperature to dip.
According to the National Centre of Metereology and Seismology (NCMS), most of the interior parts of the country remained partly cloudy on Thursday. The same weather condition will prevail today.

A spokesman of the centre told Khaleej Times that the country may witness cloudy weather for a long time with moderate rains that may turn to heavy later. The temperature dropped from 26.6 degree Celsius on Wednesday to 25.9 degree Celsius on Thursday. “The temperatures, however, will increase to 26 on Friday,” he said.
