Water-logging was reported from several low-lying areas and with lack of storm water drains, water was seen flowing on the roads in several parts of the town including Nawayat Colony, Jamiabad Road, Madina Colony and Shamsuddin Road causing inconvenience to pedestrians and motorists alike. Rain-Bhatkal-08 Locals have alleged that the concerned officials have not shown any preparedness on dealing with monsoon rains despite meeting called by Assistant Commissioner to deal with it beforehand.
