Heavy rain-storm destroys Library building in Bhatkal

Bhatkal - 28 June 2011: A library building near Belke panchayath office was completely destroyed when a huge tree fell over it today morning. The loss due to this incident was estimated around three lakh rupees. Bhatkal Tahsildar and others had visited the spot and inspected the library building. It may be noted that, heavy rain and strong winds from the past few days created havoc in the coastal region; as a result reports of house collapse have been received from several places.
