Health Camp in Bhatkal Govt. Hospital for BPL card Holders

Bhatkal - 28 Jan 2012: Kasturba Hospital, (KMC) Manipal is participating in Taluk level Health Camp organized by the Vajpayee Arogyashree (Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust) on Wednesday, 1st February 2012 at "Govt. Hospital", Bhatkal. The timings of the camp is from 9 am to 4 pm.
According to the press release issued by the Trust, through this camp Vajpayee Suvarna Arogya Trust and Kasturba Hospital is extending the Super Specialty Service to the public and the expenses are borne by the Government. All the BPL card holders who are eligible under the scheme can avail all the super specialty services at Kasturba Hospital free of cost. Vajpayee Suvarna Arogya Trust will reimburse the Hospital charges for Hospitalisation and it would also cover follow up costs.
Dr. (Col) R R Pulgaonkar, Medical Superintendent & COO of Kasturba Hospital, urged the people to make maximum utilization of the free Bhatkal Taluk level Health camp. The Departments from Kasturba Hospital which are participating in the Taluk level Health Camp are Cardiology, Cardio Vascular & Thoracic Surgery, Neuro Surgery, Oncology Orthopedics, Urology & Plastic Surgery.
Through this camp, renowned Super Specilaity departments of Kasturba Hospital will come to the doorsteps of the public at Bhatkal. Moreover, there will be no expenses involved as the patient will get treatment free of cost.The scheme also provides the patient refund of the travel charges to Kasturba Hospital. All diseases and deformities to be treated under the Super specialty surgical departments and the treatment for cancer is also covered under this scheme.
