Head on collision between tanker and pick up van claims one life

Kaup : An  head on collision between petrol tanker and fish pick up van on Muloor National Highway  66 has claimed of one person while the condition of another person is said to be serious. The deceased identified as Amanullah who was in the pickup van died on his way to the hospital while driver Sunil’s condition is said to be serious. The accident which took place on Monday, March 24 late night is said to have occurred as the petrol tanker driver came from the wrong side and rammed into the pickup van The impact of the accident was such that people had hard time to pull out Amanullah and Sunil from the van which was crushed beyond recognition. A fire tender rushed to the spot to prevent any further damage from the petrol tanker. Traffic was blocked for two hours due to the accident. Kaup Police have filed a case.
