"Hard Work is the only key to Success", says Taluk PU Topper Samah Barmawar

Study everyday, little by little and soon you’ll see your hard work paying off, as the drops make the ocean”, these are the words of Samah Barmawar D/o Nasir Barmawar the girl from Bhatkal, who has secured a mammoth 96.33 percentile marks in the Pre-University (Science) examination of the year 2014, crowning herself as the topper of Bhatkal Taluq. Samah is a student of prestigious Anjuman Pre-University College for Women, Bhatkal which has also produced such toppers in the recent past. She has also secured a near perfection of 99.6 percentile in PCM. Talking to Bhatkallys in an exclusive interview, Samah said her parents have been the biggest source of inspiration and motivation throughout her life, and also her teachers who motivated her in every way to achieve this prestigious feat. Insisting on how  her parents played their role in supporting her, Samah beautifully replied, “I feel lucky to be born to my parents. Apart from encouraging me to study, the kind of mental comfort they gave me was amazing. I never felt I was under any kind of pressure”, which showcases how her parents have been an amazing factor in her glory and how they have framed an example for the parents of every deserving student in town. Samah went on to thank all the teachers, “All our lecturers supported and inspired me to study from the beginning.  I would like thank each of my lecture for my success especially Shahnaz Lanka madam, Prathima madam, Radhika madam, Nirmala madam, Farzana madam, Afreen madam, Sabiha madam and Mohsina madam”. When we asked Samah on how she felt about being the topper of  Bhatkal and was she expecting to be the best ? She said, “If we study well and are disciplined then rewards are bound to come. I never expected that i will be topper in Bhatkal. I feel elated and I am grateful to almighty Allah for the rewards. It’s a great day for me and my family”. Coming to her future plans, the topper replied in a firm way saying she wants to take up Medicine. Persisting on the kind of schedule and facilities she utilized in her studies Samah said, “I used to study 2 Hours a day in the evening every day and during exams a little more. And I didn’t feel that I had limited opportunities by studying at Bhatkal, in fact, I feel proud to be alumni of Anjuman College. We are lucky to have such a wonderful institution in our town”. It was also good to note that Samah had been the topper of Anjuman in the SSLC examination of the year 2012. Her father Mr. Nasir Barmawar on asked how does he feel to have such a hardworking and talented daughter he said, “I am very happy that my daughter has come first in entire Bhatkal. I am proud of her. I wish and pray to Allah for her bright future”.
