"Handicap and widows can apply for pensions to village accountant" Bhatkal AC Sajid Mulla

Bhatkal 27 August 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Bhatkal Assistant Commissioner Sajid Ahmed Mulla and Bhatkal Tahsildar VN Bhadkar on Monday organised 'Pinchani Adalat' for the residents of Jali Patan Panchayath, here at its office wherein several applications of pensions to handicaps and widowed women were approved. Speaking at the meeting Tahsildar Bhadkar announced approval of over 25 applications of handicaps, widowed women and women abandoned by their husbands. "Handicaps who are effected more below 65% will get Rs.600 monthly pension while those above 65% will get 1200 monthly pension" Bhadkar announced. "We have also received ten new applications today, and we will continue to receive these applications, people can visit village account and submit their applications" he further added. Presenting their grievances, ward counselor Aftab Damudi and Jali Patan Panchayath President Syed Aadam raised the issue of problems being faced by the residents in getting their Aadhar card and other related documents and also complained of irregularities at the Aadhar centre in Bhatkal, to which Assistant Commissioner Sajid Ahmed Mulla assured them of looking into the matter.
