Guest Lecture on 'Effective Self Management' held

Bhatkal - A guest lecture on “Effective Self Management” by K S Anandaram, Director, ISBR Bangalore was held here at Anjuman Institute of Management & Computer Application Bhatkal on Monday, 21st Jan 2013.
The function was hosted by Sachin Bhat BBA final year. Prof. Mohammed Mohsin presented welcome address and the Principal, Prof. Zafarulla Kokatnur introduced the guest.
The program was divided into different sessions. In the 1st session, Mr Anandaram tested the IQ level of students and found them best among the colleges he visited. Later he expressed his experience in various Management topics which are related to Self Management.
Later he discussed 4 dimensions of knowledge (i.e., PQ, IQ, SQ and EQ) and KSA which means Knowledge, Skills and Attitude which needs to be possessed in positive way to achieve success in life.
Later he shed light on 3 eminent personalities, Swamy Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhiji and Narayan Murthy and explained how they became famous personalities from an ordinary man. Then he related those personalities with Students and explained how one can achieve success and become great personalities in today’s world by following ethics in you life.
Moving forward he discussed and differentiated between an effective person and efficient person and explained how to become effective person in life instead of efficient person who blindly follows the rules without thinking about it.
Next he started discussing about the human resource and their values in organization, how employees are the real assets of business. Then he gave an example of R and P (Result Oriented and Process Oriented). He said to go with process oriented instead of result oriented because a result oriented persons stick to limited knowledge. Whereas in process oriented the persons learn in every step and gain experience in life which will lead them to success.
Before ending his session he gave an example of Barack Obama the present president of USA, he was from a very poor family living in a small village of Africa and also showed us his young picture where he was having a cup of tea with his mate. Later he abbreviated a very encouraging meaning of OBAMA

With this saying, he ended his session. Later Students got time for Q and A session and after that a memento was presented to him by Janab Kasimji Mohammed Ansar Saheb VP- I AHM. The program was concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof. Sampath Kumar.
