Grand Urdu Mushaira in Muscat on Friday

MUSCAT - 28 Oct 2011: The Indian Social ClubUrdu Wing Mushaira 2011, Muscat will beheld on Friday, 28 October at Le Grand Hall, Al Falaj Hotel, in Ruwi (Oman) at 7:00 pm.Agroup of well-known and talented poets from across India will render poetry at the literary meet. According to Aftab Kola, co-convenor of ISC Urdu Wing, "This mushaira will be presided over by Hasan Kamal, a veteran poet while Sheen Kaaf Nizam, a poet of repute,will conduct the Mushaira. Others who will participate include Munawwar Rana, humor poet Khamakhan, Jauhar Kanpuri, Zubair Rizvi, Shabina Adeeb and Tariq Qamar.

Organized by the Indian Social Club Urdu Wing and presented by Al Omaniya Financial Services (SAOG), the fourth edition of Urdu Wing mushaira promises to be an evening to remember.

Mustajab Ahmed, whose contribution to Urdu in this part of the world has received acclaims, will be honoured on the occasion.
