GPS mandatory for all private buses: RTO

Mangaluru 02 Feb 2018: G S Hegde, Deputy Commissioner of transport and in-charge senior RTO has announced the introduction of Global Positioning System(GPS) by RTO that will enable the access of buses plying on road easily. To control the movement of vehicles, central control room will be set up in the RTO office, Hegde said. In an attempt to crack down the problems faced by the passengers of bus drivers either violation of timings or taking the unauthorized routes to reach the destination, RTO has set up this decision of installing GPS on all Private Buses.
