Govt decides to merge some areas of Jaali panchayat into municipality

May 04, 2015 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: In a bid to to promote urbanization and improve civic amenities, the state government is working on a plan to integrate few areas of Jaali panchayat, Venktapur and Tagalgod into municipality. According to sources, in the next panchayat elections, these areas will not be included in panchayat. This move should bring relief to the residents of these areas as few months they had appealed to merge their areas into municipality considering the sluggish rate of development and lack of proper civic amenities in their areas. - ARF
