Govt college student attempts to sexually assault girl student in college premise

August 09, 2015 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: A BBA student of Government First Grade College Bhatkal has alleged that a male student of the same college pulled her burqa and tried to sexually assault her in college premise. Speaking to media persons, she said that a male student of BA final year, Keshav Ganapati Naik, first abused her in front of other classmates and then tried to sexually assault her. The incident took place on Friday August 7 at Government First Grade College, located at Hurulisal Bhatkal. Terming the incident as a black spot on the college's reputation, the college principal said that all the teachers were busy teaching at the time the incident occurred. He also spoke about taking strict action on the student including his termination. A case has been registered at Bhatkal Town Police Station and the officials are investigating the case. -ARF
