Gold worth Rs.2.15 crore seized at Goa airport

June 12, 2015 | Sources | Bhatkallys News Vasco: Customs officials at Dabolim international airport in Goa seized gold worth Rs.2.15 crore on Thursday. The seizure was made from Sajid Ahmed, a resident of Bhatkal, who had arrived on a Dubai-Goa Qatar Airways flight on Thursday morning. A customs spokesperson said that the passenger had hidden 7.7 kilograms of gold in a laptop bag. Further investigations are being carried out, the custom officer said. - ARF
