Gokarna: Life guards rescue tourist who slipped into water while clicking selfie

Gokarna 24 April 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Lifeguards at Om beach of Gokarna, successfully rescued a tourist from drowning whi slipped into the waters from when attempting to take a selfie picture here on Sunday 22 April.

The victim has been identified as Basavraj, a resident of Ranibennuru.

Basavraj along with five others had come to Gokarna for picnicking, and while clicking a selfied from atop of a rock he slipped into the sea.

Lifeguards Panduranga Ambig, Praveen Ambig swung into action along with victim’s friend Shekar Harikant and successfully rescued Basavraj.
