Gaza conflict: BMYF cancels Bhatkal Cricket League

Bhatkal: 30 October 2023 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) In a press conference held on Monday, President of Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation (BMYF) Moulana Azeezur Rahman Nadvi, announced that they have decided to cancel the Bhatkal Cricket League (Season 5) it was scheduled to organise in November.

Azeezur Rahman stated that the decision came in the wake of recent development and violence unfolding in Palestine where thousands of Palestinians have been killed by Israeli Defence Forces.

The decision was taken in the executive committee meeting of the Federation held on Saturday.

The preparations were in full swing and several other programs including Mushaira, Tarana Competition, Blood Donation Camp were planned during the tournament, which now stands cancelled after the unanimous decision at the executive committee meeting.

BMYF's sports secretary Talha Tirchinapalli was also present during the press conference.
