Gas tanker overturns after collision with truck on NH-66

02 April, 2016 | Rizwan Gangavaly | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: A gas tanker collided with a truck on Honnavar National Highway Saturday morning, causing the tanker to overturn and spill diesel on the road sending the public into a state of worry for some time, however, the gas in the tanker remained intact. The tanker was heading from Mangalore towards Hubli when it hit a truck coming from the opposite direction at around 10 am today, source informed. The tanker driver sustained minor injuries as a consequence of this accident. Traffic at NH-66 remained disrupted for some time due to this accident. Fire engines arrived on the scene to respond to the accident and control damage but need did not arise to utilize them. This case has been registered at Honnavar police station. - ARF
