RIYADH: Top officials at the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) inspected various airports across the Kingdom to ensure good services and track the ongoing expansion projects being implemented in various airports. According to Tariq Abdul-Jabbar, GACA deputy assistant for domestic airports, these visits are parts of the regular work of the GACA to include new services that prevent monopolization and would upgrade the level and efficiency of services provided to travelers. These include restaurants, cafés, shipping services and baggage handling. In addition, the officials are acquainted with expected achievements and accomplishments, and they immediately address deficiencies. According to Abdul-Jabbar, Saudi airports are witnessing massive developments through the country’s ambitious programs which will enable the Kingdom to keep pace with growth in global aviation and the provision of services in a readily accessible manner for travelers. “In this sense, GACA has developed an integrated plan for visits on a regular basis based on its desire to pursue the development and implementation of projects in these airports. These visits will continue without interruption so that we can be assured of the functioning of the projects as required and according to schedules set for the completion of works in every airport” he said.
